What You'll Do:
As the Risk Manager & Quality Assurance Coordinator
(RN), you’ll play a vital leadership role in upholding the highest standards of safety, care, and compliance in our long-term care community. You’ll lead efforts to minimize risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement – all while keeping our residents’ health, dignity, and well-being at the center of everything you do.

  • Review clinical documentation and care processes to ensure that residents receive appropriate, person-centered care and services.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents, ensuring immediate resident protection and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive compliance with New York regulations and long-term care best practices.
  • Lead and participate in QAPI meetings and quarterly audits that promote measurable outcomes and continuous quality enhancement.
  • Guide staff education through orientation, ongoing in-services, and training on infection control, incident reporting, compliance, and technology use.
  • Monitor for patterns and trends in clinical outcomes and safety events, and turn data into actionable improvements.
  • Keep current with regulatory changes and quality standards in New York to ensure proactive compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison during community meetings and regulatory visits as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support resident safety and care excellence.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of a Risk Manager & QAPI Coordinator include:

  • Active RN license in the State of New York
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a long-term care setting
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management and QAPI roles
  • Compassion for elderly and chronically ill residents, and a deep commitment to person-centered care
  • Strong clinical knowledge and sound judgment in high-stakes situations
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and influence positive change
