Activities Volunteer Opportunity

As an Activities Volunteer, you play an important role in supporting recreational and social programs that enrich the lives of our residents. Your time, energy, and compassion help create a warm and engaging environment where seniors can connect, thrive, and enjoy meaningful moments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, facilitation, and cleanup of recreational and therapeutic activities

  • Help engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and group events

  • Offer companionship and one-on-one interaction to residents who may benefit from personal attention

  • Support the Activities team in creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere

  • Encourage social interaction and participation among residents

  • Provide feedback to staff about resident participation and enjoyment

Qualifications of an Activities Assistant include:

  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
