Assistant Nursing Home Administrator - Long Term Care 

 

The Hebrew Center for Health & Rehabilitation is a respected 260-bed skilled nursing facility located in West Hartford, CT. Known for its commitment to excellence and talent development, Hebrew has successfully trained numerous Administrators, Nursing Leaders, and Regional Support Professionals who now serve across the National Health Care system.

 

What You'll Do:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Assistant Nursing Home Administrator to help lead day-to-day operations and support strategic growth initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with long-term care leadership experience to develop into a senior administrative role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire clinical and non-clinical teams
  • Support strategic initiatives to enhance market share and business growth
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and the local community
  • Promote a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership and peers to achieve organizational goals
  • Supervise both unionized and non-unionized departments, including Social Work, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Recreation

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in skilled nursing or long-term care who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Candidates who have successfully led departments such as Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Therapy, Social Work, or Nursing are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Qualifications of an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator include:

  • Located within a 45-minute commute of West Hartford, CT
  • Previous experience in long-term care administration or management
  • Understanding of regulatory standards in long-term care
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and high-quality healthcare delivery
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
