What You'll Do:

 

** This is a dual role Receptionist & Transportation Driver **

 

As a receptionist, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within our facility by acting as the first point of contact for all residents, families, and visitors. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, residents, and families with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and efficiently
  • Receives inquires and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and resident activities
  • Receives newspapers, mail, and gifts for residents

Drivers at our centers are responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and other destinations. Your friendly demeanor and reliable service will ensure residents receive the medical assessment and care necessary for their rehabilitation and well being.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drives residents to medical appointments, outings, and other destinations according to assigned schedule
  • Adheres to traffic laws, regulations, and facility policies to ensure the safety of passengers and others on the road
  • Assists residents into and out of vehicle
  • Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs while driving
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to coordinate transportation schedules and ensure resident needs are met
  • Communicates with administrative staff regularly to receive instructions or report dealys and disruptions of service
  • Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, performing routine inspections, refueling and immediately reporting maintenance needs
  • Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers

What You'll Bring:

 

Qualifications of a Receptionist include:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
  • Proficient in using office equipment and computer applications
  • Empathy and understanding towards the needs of residents and their families

Qualifications of a Driver include:

  • Current driver’s license and excellent driving record is required
  • Previous experience in patient transportation or a similar role preferred
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy in working with seniors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
