 What You'll Do:

The Ass’t Business Office Manager is responsible for working with the Business Office Manager in day-to-day coordination of Resident census and Billing to ensure regulatory billing compliance.  Efficient and maximized collection of Resident Accounts.  Assist with submission and tracking through approval of Medicaid Pending applications. Accurate reporting of billing and cash collection activity.   Ensure full compliance of the Resident Funds ledgers at all times.   

Key Responsibilities:

* With Guidance from Business Office Manager and based on the needs of the facility

1. 1. Prepare, process and maintain facility census to include reconciliation to Midnight Shift Report, enter payer changes and adjust payer information and revenue, accordingly, following NHCA guidelines.
   2. Prepare daily deposits received at facility
   3. Non-AR Related cash, Private, Private Coinsurance, Applied Income monies and miscellaneous AR payors – scan checks, post and complete cash log per NHCA guidelines.
   4. Import all AR Related Commercial Insurances and Medicaid related monies.  
   5. Review aging upon completion of daily cash posting to verify accuracy.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of Business Office Manager include:

• 3-5 years of billing and collections experience in long-term care including management or supervisory responsibilities
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Pending, Applied Income, and Managed Care reimbursement regulations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment 
• Excellent team building, leadership and communication skills 
• Deadline driven, detail-oriented individual
• Proficiency in office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and billing/eligibility software solutions (Point Click Care, Inovalon and RFMS)
