What You'll Do:

 

The primary purpose of this position is to process all Medicaid Pending Applications through approval, QMB applications, process and track Redetermination. This position is also responsible for booking and collecting patient liability and working with responsible parties and DSS on all patient liability and eligibility date discrepancies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly
  • Interact with residents, families, and external partners to address billing inquiries and provide clear, empathetic explanations when needed
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency

What You'll Bring:

 

Qualifications of an Accounts Receivable Specialist include:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in Connecticut Medicaid
  • Knowledge Medicaid regulations in Long Term Care
  • PointClickCare experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize and organize tasks at hand to meet specific deadlines.
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people.
